Pronounced ‘Lock-oo-too-la’, it means ‘Place of Peace’ in the local Sindebele tongue, and certainly lives up to this description. Each lodge has its own outside area and garden and are spacious and comfortable. The lodge is surrounded by 80,000 hectares of unspoilt African bush and borders the unfenced Zambezi National Park. A nearby waterhole facilitates the free movement of game between the park and the lodges and the resort’s resident warthog and bushbuck will be a delight. Lokuthula lodges are ideal for friends and family wanting a comfortable, relaxed and affordable option from which to explore the Victoria Falls.
