Overlooking a waterhole regularly frequented by big game, Little Makalolo Camp sits in a teak forest in the eastern region of Hwange National Park. It’s a small, traditional-style camp in a remote and private concession area, which means that the game viewing is relatively exclusive.
Linking the tents to the main area are teak walkways. Here a false mopane tree in the centre of the camp shades a separate dining and living area, with an open fire area for those convivial evening fireside tales. There is a log-pile hide overlooking the waterhole in front of camp where guests can enjoy wildlife viewing during the siesta hours and pool for cooling down in the midday sun.
