Owned and operated by Wilderness Safaris, this camp has a superb location on the Zambezi River, 12km upstream from the Victoria Falls. Toka Leya is one of 2 camps located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, and with its raised walk-ways, game often walks through the camp area including elephant, buffalo, giraffe and various antelope, not to mention the amazing birdlife experienced. The camp offers a luxury experience, in a very environmentally friendly camp. A back of house tour with Histon or one of his team looking at the tree nursery, worm farm or sewage system is one of the highlights of staying at Toka Leya. The food and service are excellent and the lodge is run by a well experienced, hands on team. Amon heads up the Guiding Team and Stanley is the Executive Chef, producing some amazing, mouth watering food! The camp has its own pizza oven and guests are often treated to a “make your own pizza” lunch.

Thank you so much for the bottle of champagne and the sweet note! This was our first experience at a luxury lodge, and I don’t think we’ll be able to go back to staying at hotels after this past weekend! Once we arrived, everyone greeted us by name and all of our requests were honored. Justin’s birthday cake was delicious and the whole staff came out to sing to him. Amon, our guide, was fantastic on our trip to Victoria Falls, and during our game drive. The outing to Devil’s Pool was awe-inspiring. Connor and Caiden are still talking about it and we have looked at the pictures over and over again. Thank you, thank you, thank you for suggesting Toka Leya to me, and for arranging all of the details for us!!
Gift and Solly specifically asked me to tell you hello from them. Gift said that he worked with your husband, Dave for two years. They were such a cool staff and a delight to be around!
We will definitely have to make some more plans with you in the future!
