Remote Africa Opens new Camp in North Luangwa

Takwela Camp will open its doors on 22 July 2019 and will operate through to 31st October. Located in North Luangwa on Remote Africa’s private land at the confluence of the Luangwa and Mwaleshi Rivers. During its first season the camp will operate with two en suite chalets, accommodating a maximum of 4 guests. Two more chalets will be added in 2020. The camp will be solar powered and built primarily from local natural materials and constructed with local skills.

The camp is a 25 minute scenic flight from Remote’s airstrip in South Luangwa, Lukuzi and then a 45 minute game drive into camp. The camp will offer both game drives and walking safaris. During 2019 all guests will go on safari together and there will not be an option of private guiding available.
