We pride ourselves on the fact that our clients always have a wonderful trip. Read through some of their experiences below.
I would like to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Chundukwa River Lodge. They looked after us very, very well. The food was delicious and the accommodations were lovely.
On Saturday morning, the lodge arranged for us to go on a village walk with one of their staff who lives at a nearby Lozi village. Then we went on a river cruise midday. In the afternoon, we went on a walking safari to see the white rhinos. On Sunday, we had our full-day driver, who took us to the start of the Livingstone Island excursion, where we got to dip in Angel’s Pool.
We then went on to visit the Victoria Falls national park and then back to the markets in town for a bit of shopping.
Overall, it was a perfect weekend! Thank you for arranging such a wonderful holiday for us again. We will be sure to contact you in the future when we return to Zambia.
Well – we are sitting at Lusaka Airport getting ready to board our flight to Dubai and we are reminiscing about how fabulous our Africa holiday has been. It is very sad to be leaving. Thanks to People and Places, the trip has been everything we had hoped for and more!
Everything from the program planning with Tendai, briefing at the airport, transfers (road trips and flights) and accommodation – was delivered extremely professionally and provided us with a range of experiences.
Each Safari and lodge was different – we managed to see all the animals that we wanted to and slept in some amazing accommodation with outstanding food. Thank you very much.
It was so smooth and well-organized, we could completely give ourselves up to just enjoying every minute without having to worry about any aspects of planning or logistics, from the moment of being met at Lusaka airport to being sent on our way at the end with help from the final Tours Africa gentleman, who got us checked in to our return flight. It was wonderful.
Our first night at Latitude 15 was a lovely beginning to the whole stay, the farmhouse at Waterberry was magnificent (and we would all love to return!), the activities were all well-organized and interesting, the guides were so knowledgeable and helpful, the food was delicious-this all goes for the lodge and camp at Luangwa as well.
We learned so much and enjoyed so much natural beauty, it was amazing! Our patient guide for Lusaka, Paul from Tours Africa, went above and beyond to locate particular places we wished to revisit, to help us gain entrance even on a Sunday, and to organize our time so that we could each fit in what our particular interest was.
Please convey our appreciation as well to the whole staff at Tours Africa, who were amazing.
We also felt the Cummings family were very generous in spending time with the guests and talking to us about conservation and other fascinating details about the camp in the early days. Best wishes and thanks for your expertise.
The lodge itself is beautiful, comfortable, some cosy spots yet airy and inviting. The rooms were so nicely furnished, we loved the beds and the bedding, small luxuries present throughout and I particularly liked the Charlotte Rhys range.
And then I cannot forget about Innocent, such a humble person with a gentle manner. He has the eyes of an eagle and the patience of a saint, his knowledge of the flora and fauna is outstanding and equally so, his passion for his work. He was very determined to give us the best quality sightings! We were blessed with some amazing sightings thanks to his understanding of the bush. We will always treasure these moments.
We can whole heartedly say that our stay at Lion Camp was an experience of a life time, it has left an imprint in our hearts and made for incredible memories for our family to cherish! Thank you for organizing our trip.
We really liked staying with Ricardo at Kanyemba lodge, it was a wonderful introduction to Zambia. Going up and down the river was fascinating. We enjoyed Mfuwe and were most impressed at the way the upmarket camp is the epicentre for the bush camps. Our favourite part was staying at Chamilandu. We simply could not believe how fabulous that was. We then went back to Mfuwe and we had a good last day in South Luangwa, all the walking safaris and the rides on the truck were top class.
We saw everything you could possibly want to see. Our weekend in Lusaka was good; we enjoyed seeing our friends and how the non-tourist part of Zambia works. Last section in Livingstone was also really good at Chundukwa River Lodge. We went on a tour of the village which we really enjoyed, also good boat trips and an excellent last safari and walking tour to see the Rhinos.
We enjoyed Livingstone museum and Victoria Falls were spectacular – it is one of the things you just have to see! We are absolutely sold on Zambia!
Both places dealt with Emma’s allergies perfectly – special menu’s vegan cakes – couldn’t ask for more on that. We really liked the difference in the 2 places – the view from the top of the hill at Rhino and going through the trees at Isimangaliso. Really liked having the different trips there too with the water trip, a night safari and the beach trip.
All the guides were fantastic and friendly and SO knowledgeable. The whole trip felt so special and Emma and Olivia thoroughly enjoyed it.
