Machaba Safaris to open Ingwe Pan in Mana Pools
Machaba Safaris who operate camps in the Okavango, Chobe and Hwange will be opening a new camp in Mana Pools in May 2020.
Ingwe Pan will be situated amongst a string of pans a few kilometres inland from the Zambezi River, offering guests the opportunity to walk and drive the incredible Mana pools floodplain and adjacent Wilderness Area. The Wilderness area is less busy than the floodplain and affords quiet walks along the Chiruwe riverbed and between the pans. Game-viewing with night sounds, whilst seated on the edge of the pan, is the perfect end to the day. Predators are frequent visitors to the pan in the evening.
Camp itself consists of 8 spacious and airy tents nestled beneath a grove of ebony trees on the edge of Ingwe Pan, one of the largest pans in the Park. The main living area consists of a spacious tent under a magnificent fig tree on the water’s edge. Dining is under the stars and the covered area encompasses two comfortable seating areas, a tea station and casual bar. Ingwe’s focus will be on great guiding, good food and personalized service, as with all of our existing camps.
With 14 years of experience of operating in Mana, Ingwe pan will be run by Flo Coughlan (ex Goliath Camp) and her loyal team.
