Set in the heart of Hwange National Park, Somalisa Camp offers guests the perfect blend of old African charm and elegance. Tucked beneath an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, this camp has breathtaking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei line.
Activities include guided walks led by passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives, bird watching, and evening spot lighting. The area provides guests with the opportunity to see a variety of plains game and predators including elephant, kudu, sable, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, white rhino, lion, leopard, and hyena amongst other wildlife species. In addition, after the first rains, the Kennedy Vlei is scattered with flamboyant colors from the seasonal wildflowers that emerge during this time of year – making it one of the prettiest areas in Hwange National Park.
Location: Hwange National Park, along the Kennedy vlei line within a private concession. A 30 – 40 minute charter flight from Victoria Falls with 30 minute game drive to camp or 3 – 4 hour road transfer from Victoria Falls.

Other Camp Features: a small splash pool overlooking the natural pan where herds of game congregate to drink and where guests can relax whilst soaking in the African bush.

Child Policy: Not recommended for children below 7 years.Children under the age of 16 are not able to do walking safaris however nature walks around camp are on offer
