Inn On Rupurara is a delightful property located in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe easily accessed by road from Harare. The lodge is built up on a mountain with spectacular views overlooking the Rupurara Estate and a dam in the Valley.

The main guest area has two lounges – a main lounge and a cosy attic lounge, both with fireplaces. In the attic lounge there is a mini library and a number of board games. Trevor’s wine bar offers a wide selection of imported wines and a few liqueurs. The dining room caters for breakfast, a light lunch and a four course dinner followed by coffee in the lounge. There is also a children’s menu available from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

There are many local attractions in the area – including Claremont Golf Course, and Montclair Casino. One complimentary activity per day is available and guests may choose from a variety of guided outdoor activities on the Rupurara Game Sanctuary on which the Inn is situated.  A delightful property catering for individuals, families and small groups.

Location: Inn On Rupurara is located 5 minutes from Juliasdale, three kilometres off the Juliasdale/Nyanga road and is an easy three hour, 265 kilometre, drive from Harare on good tar roads.

Number Rooms: 16 lodges; 6 x single Lodges, 10 x family Lodges which are semi detached.

These are perfect for families with children, having a twin bedded room adjacent to a double bedded room and two of the units have inter-leading balconies. A limited number of cots and mattresses are available for guests who wish to have younger children in their room.

Room Features: Rooms either overlook the dam (Water View) or give a panoramic elevated view out over the Rupurara Estate (Valley View). All rooms have en-suite bath and shower and private veranda as well as hairdryes and heaters.

Power Source: Mains electricity with back up generator

Other Lodge Features: two lounges, Trevor’s Wine Bar, sauna, splash pool, conference room, golf, horse riding, scenic walks, trout fishing, game viewing and birding. With the lodge being built on a mountain, and the many stairs and uneven ground, it is not an ideal property for the elderly or infirm.

Activities: guided outdoor activities, game drives, horse riding, conquering the Great Rupurara Rock home to a resident pair of black eagles, nature walks, mountain biking, Nightingale Waterfall trips, picnics, trout farm tours
