Owned by Sun International, the Royal Livingstone is set on the forested banks of the great Zambezi River, upstream of the mighty cataract where it thunders into the Batoka Gorge. In its cool lounges and shaded verandas you will encounter the elegance and luxury of an earlier, more courteous age. Zebra roam in the gardens, and the perfect end to your day is sitting out on the bar deck overlooking the Zambezi River, watching the spray of the Victoria Falls and listening to its thunderous sounds.

An ideal property for couples who want a luxury hotel experience. Guests are free to walk to the Victoria Falls from the hotel and their entrance into the park is included in their room rate.

A great Valentine’s treat!  There is nothing so special as sitting on the deck overlooking the river and the spray, at sunset.   Wonderful.  The rooms were excellent (recently refurbished), the food was great and the service up to the expected standards.  We spent two hours at the Falls watching the lunar rainbow and the water tumbling over the falls in the full moonlight.  Very special.  And then we had a trip to Livingstone Island which included a swim on the edge!  A spectacular experience.  Thanks for organising Emma.
