The Islands of Siankaba has been developed as a luxurious retreat with outstanding cuisine and exceptional levels of personal service to exclusively sleep just fourteen guests.  Each of Siankaba’s seven secluded chalets have been uniquely designed to maximize comfort and privacy whilst offering spectacular views of the Zambezi River. The unique feature of the lodge is the series of walkways and bridges that link the two islands together. The quirky design incorporates the use of natural materials that blend in with the feel of the surrounding bush while taking full advantage of the beauty of the riverine setting. The Islands of Siankaba is the perfect retreat for discerning travelers who wish to witness the wonderful Victoria Falls yet also escape the crowds and enjoy being in an area of natural beauty with quiet, unspoiled surroundings.

When my brothers and their wives came to visit us in Zambia in October we booked a trip through Emma at People and Places to the Islands of Siankaba in Livingstone. The lodge is perfectly located right on the edge of the Zambezi River where you can relax in your cabin watching birds or share a good time in the common area with other guests. Their staff and guest services are world-class. The cabin perched on stilts next to the river was very elegant and comfortable. Their food was world-class, very well prepared and presented. The chef would keep surprising with some of the most delicious dinners we’ve had in Zambia. Finally, we were wonderfully surprised with the local church choir that came on Saturday night to sing beautiful Zambian songs at dinner time. It was a memorable visit. Jacky the manager and her entire staff showed us the highest level of hospitality, always smiling and happy to welcome you at the lodge. We’ll certainly go back when we are in Livingstone.
