After all these years, I finally made it to the well known Mukambi. On a wide open stretch of the Kafue River the lodge has a great river view. We stayed in the new tents which were fantastic and rarely for me, I was moved to have an outside bath! The sunset river cruise was very productive – great birding along with a large male leopard and a young python. This lodge is perfect for weekend away from town or as a step before going deeper into the park.
