Fig Tree Camp, named after the giant fig tree next to the Boma, overlooks a unique sandy lagoon. This lagoon maintains its water throughout the season attracting an array of wildlife including elephant, puku, impala, warthog, zebra, and hartebeest.
Predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena are regular visitors and the wild dog have been known to prey on the concentration of game. Set in a remote area of Kafue National Park, with fantastic guiding and excellent food, this camp promises guests a very special wilderness experience.
Location: Fig Tree Camp is situated in an undiscovered part of the Kafue next to a sandy beach overlooking a lagoon. Accessed either via charter or scheduled flight into Chunga Airstrip, or via road transfer from Lusaka (via Mukambi Safari Lodge – 3.5 hours to Mukambi and a further 1.5 hours to Fig Tree Camp)
