Chelinda Lodge offers spacious log cabins all with sweeping views over Nyika’s rolling grasslands, which are often dotted with large herds of roan, eland and zebra. A pocket of hagenia woodland and forest backdrop perfectly shelters this idyllic upland camp.

Accommodation comprises warm and cosy log cabins made of pine. Elevated wooden walkways link the cabins to the inviting main building, complete with outside deck for sundowners, convivial dining around a fireplace and lounge area for quiet reflection or conversation.  Whilst the lodge is old fashioned, it is very comfortable and has great management staff and guides.

Chelinda Camp offers a more basic option with 6 units and a restaurant, bar and children’s play ground as well as 4 self catering cottages with 2 bedrooms, shared bathroom, lounge and fully equipped kitchen.

Nyika National Park harbours a good population of roan, eland, Crawshay’s zebra, southern reedbuck, bushbuck, warthog, spotted hyena and side-striped jackal. Elephant are occasionally spotted, with leopard often seen in the daytime owing to the temperate climate. Also an incredible birding area.
