The Yacht Mufasa is available for yacht charters to the far corners of Lake Malawi.  These Sailing Safaris are well planned itineraries taking in the most scenic places along the shores of the lake. “Mufasa” is a 38 foot Maxim catamaran and the layout comprises of a saloon and galley with a comfortable cockpit under shade.  “Mufasa” is a 10 berth yacht made up of 4 double and 2 single cabins. There are two bathrooms on board, as well as a hot water shower on the stern.  The optimum number of guests for a yacht charter is 4 pax.The yacht is skippered and crewed by sailing professionals who will take care of the clients every need on board!  Owner and Captain Howard Massey-Hicks has sailed over 80,000 km on Lake Malawi and has become the recognized authority on local waters.  Howard is an Electrical Engineer turned Mariner.  He is competent, capable and extremely knowledgeable, as well as being fun to be with!   Howard is a qualified Yacht master, Dive master and a certified Dive Equipment Technician.

Number Rooms: 8 rooms and a luxury yacht ‘Mufasa’. There is a variety of rooms including options for double, twin and family rooms.

Room Features: Rooms are all en-suite, lake facing, clean and crisp with a nautical beach theme.  Rooms are air-conditioned and have fans, quality percale cotton linen, posturepedic mattresses, four poster bed nets, complimentary tea / coffee station, hair dyer, safe in bedroom, emergency back-up lighting, high pressure solar heated hot water. Activities: Full tuition is given for all water sports. Try waterskiing, wakeboarding or tubing.  Enjoy snorkeling trips to the island, go fishing, swimming and mountain biking or set off on a nature walk. There is a selection of dingy sailing boats and catamarans, which are great fun to take out sailing in the bay.  To get a taste of the Malawian traditional way of life and culture, guests can freely walk or cycle into Chembe village in the cool of the afternoon for some curio shopping and casual observation.  Alternatively, just take a break and have a rest on your bed or sun-lounger with a good book!
